Get A Library Card

Get your Deckerville Public Library card!

Sign up at our onsite location or here online. Applying for a library card is easy! To receive a library card, you must be 18 or older and live within the city of Grand Rapids. When you sign up for a library card, you will need to provide proof of identification.
Kids and teens 17 and under can apply for a library card with a parent or guardian.

Accepted Types of Identification

Picture identification
Your picture identification should be valid and include your current home address. Examples include:

  • A drivers license or state identification

  • A passport

  • A military identification

  • A resident alien card (green card)

  • Other picture IDs; see staff for details

Prove your current address

If your picture identification does not have your current address, then please also show one of the following:

  • A delivered piece of mail to your current address

  • Printed checks with your current address on them

  • Paycheck or stub with your address on it

  • Lease/housing agreement with your current address on it
